📊 Teamwork Activity: Selling the Future through a Product on a Promotional Poster

 

🧑‍🤝‍🧑 Modality:

Teams of less than 5 students

 

Duration:

Between five and ten minutes for each team

 

🎯 Objectives:

Students will design and present a persuasive poster promoting a product or service, correctly using advanced future structures from Grammar and Vocabulary for Advanced (Hewings & Haines, 2015).

Students must incorporate at least 6 different future structures from the chart of future forms.


📝 Instructions for Students

 

Step 1: Choose Your Product

You may promote:

  • A property for rent or sale
  • A technological product
  • A service
  • A tourism experience
  • A new business concept

 

Step 2: Design a Promotional Poster

Your poster must include:

  1. Product description
  2. Target audience
  3. Key benefits
  4. Price
  5. Persuasive slogan
  6. At least 6 different future structures from the chart
  7. At least one example of:
    • Future continuous
    • Future perfect
    • “Be going to”
    • “Will” (different uses)
    • One formal structure (be to + infinitive OR future in the past)

You must highlight the future structures in bold.
